The pastels by Geoff Morten on show in this exhibition are all works of art in their own right. Some carry titles of paintings produced later and some not, but they all have a charm of their own – sometimes due to their small size which gives a jewel like quality but also mainly due to the spontaneity of the mark making due to the enthusiasm and excitement of the artist in creating something totally new from an inspired idea.
